Making a R.E.A.L. Impact Together

As a land grant institution, Clemson University has a tradition of creating and nurturing research and economic development institutes to build a knowledge-based economy. For over 80 years, the Youth Learning Institute (YLI) has helped individuals and organizations build capacity in state of South Carolina and beyond. As the higher education landscape has evolved, YLI has constantly innovated to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse, interconnected and global society. Today, YLI is a self-funded national model for research, outreach and strategic partnerships as they relate to human services and resiliency.

In alignment with the university’s Top 20 Vision and 10-year strategic plan, ClemsonFORWARD, YLI will leverage its resources to build best-in-class capabilities in research, engagement, academics, and the living environment.
