Professional Profile

Justine Gradillas is the Director of the Office of Research and Organizational Development at Clemson University Learning Institute. Ms. Gradillas has extensive experience in human services and education having lived and worked in Arizona, Germany, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. As an administrator, she successfully designed and implemented many specialized programs and services, including turnaround management operations. She was previously the Associate Executive Director at the Center for Social Welfare Research and Assessment at Winthrop University where she was responsible for overall programming and the activities of over 100 professionals across the state of South Carolina. Prior to that, Ms. Gradillas served homeless individuals and families in six North Carolina counties as the Vice-President of Casework Services at Community Link, a United Way agency. As an adjunct faculty member at Winthrop University, she taught leadership and empowerment practice to social work graduate students. As a practitioner, Ms. Gradillas worked in crisis intervention, mental health, substance abuse, and with children and families. In addition, Ms. Gradillas served on active duty in the United States Army as a Behavioral Science Specialist.
