Professional Profile

Kristie Marr has experience working in the health and human services field assisting individuals with medication needs, crisis situations, and creating programs to combat prominently found issues. Three of these years were spent working as a medical social worker in a local health department. This position allowed Kristie to assist in the creation of programs as well as develop numerous tools to assist children and families in crisis situations. Kristie began her work in public health research in 2014 as a Project Coordinator at Winthrop University’s Center for Social Welfare Research and Assessment. In addition to coordinating research projects, she supervised demonstration staff and projects with the SC Department of Social Services. Kristie has been pursuing her interest in public health research as a Project Manager within the Office of Research and Organizational Development at Clemson University. Here she has managed research and training projects for the SC Department of Health and Human Services, Clemson’s Learning Institute, and the SC Department on Aging.
